Read for your rising sign

Saturn, the gatekeeper of the cosmos, is at the last degree of Pisces and about to move into Aries. The 29th degree or anaretic degree of every sign was thought to be a critical position for any planet. The planet is symbolically at the completion point of its journey through the sign. So this month we will explore Saturn’s movement through the anaretic degree and what it might mean for this area of your life. It is important to note that this is the first of several times Saturn will navigate this point in Pisces over the next year. This may be just the beginning of a process of culmination.

Aries

If you are an Aries rising, then Saturn is wrapping up its long stint in your 12th house. This house, often associated with the unconscious or things that are hidden from us, now has the potential to offer you the fruits of your interior work. If you’ve been doing the interior work? If you haven’t, that is ok too, but expect whatever is unconscious in your life to bubble up to the surface.

Taurus

Saturn is the gatekeeper of the cosmos and that gate swings both ways. So for a Taurus rising, this may be the culmination of a lot of hard Saturnian work that is leading you towards your goals or a realization that what you have been cultivating in your life isn’t serving you anymore. Friends, groups, or your passion projects may be the areas of life where dreams are being realized or things are being let go.

Gemini

Are you exhausted by your career, social reputation, or volunteer work out there in the world? Or are you feeling energized and ready to take on more? Saturn’s journey though your 10th house has probably been pointing out exactly where you do and don’t want to spend your social currency. Whether you are reaching for your rewards or that 5th cup of coffee, I’m sure you have learned a thing or two about the public sphere.

Cancer

Often the process of discovering what we believe is through a Via negativa. Saturn is the master at this and your ally in pointing out all the things that you don’t want, don’t need, or don’t believe in. While this process may not have been easy, you certainly will come out on the other side with a deeper understanding of who you are, where you are going, and what you believe in.

Leo

Karma is a weird word. Everybody has an understanding of what it means but no one can really define it. Chances are, with Saturn sitting at the anaretic degree of your 8th house, you know what I mean. The 8th house was traditionally known as the ‘idle place’. Planets here are waiting to move into the 7th house where they will finally set below the horizon. If there is a karmic contract in your life that needs untangling then now is the time to act.

Virgo

If you are a Virgo rising then Saturn has been transiting through your house of relationships for the past several years. Not an easy transit for marriage and love. However, any challenging Saturn transit also comes with the crystallization of maturity and wisdom that is sure to make the next few years easier. The saying that comes to mind here is the old axiom “what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger”.

Libra

Courage and hard work are an essential part of the human story and there is no doubt that a serious dedication to work can lead to some really great outcomes. It can also lead to complete burnout and illness. With Saturn wrapping up its journey through your 6th house, you are probably feeling a little bit of both. Now is a good time to reflect on what worked, what didn’t, and where are you going to put your energy moving forward.

Scorpio

Is there a bow that needs to be put on a creative project? Are your kids driving you nuts and you know of a strategy you need to implement that will make things easier? Saturn's last gasp in your 5th house is a great time to address these unfinished tasks. Just remember, sometimes completion means letting go.

Sagittarius

The 4th house in ancient astrology is the house at the base of the chart. It is at the root of the great circle and symbolizes all things that support us. This can be home and family but also rest and rejuvenation. As we’ve learned by now, Saturn is really good at pointing out what it is that we don’t want. The beauty of this is the realization of what it is that we do want. Weeding out the things that don’t support us may be just what we need to create the nurturing home environment we always wanted.

Capricorn

The 3rd house is a place of learning through experience. It is connected to intelligence and how you communicate both emotionally and spiritually. After several years of Saturn’s life lessons in these areas of life you are probably pretty tired of all of life’s lessons. But I bet you are also a better, more mature version of who you were just a few years ago. Learning is not always easy but real world experiences are certainly the best way to learn anything quickly.

Aquarius

A friend of mine once told me a phrase that he learned working in construction: “There is fast, cheap, and good. You can only pick two!” I believe this applies to many areas of life. If it is fast and cheap, it probably won’t be good. And if it is good and fast, it certainly won’t be cheap. A lesson that Saturn teaches us all, is that ‘patience is a virtue’ worth cultivating. And when we are patient we are not as concerned with money and resources.

Pisces

There have been a lot of astrological transits taking place in your 1st house over the past several years. That can feel like a lot. Especially when the 1st house is the house that represents you in the birth chart. You might be wondering when you will get a break from all this action. The answer is by February 2026. Saturn has a lesson or two more to teach us all but for you, this might actually feel like a big relief.
